Freedom School: Ukraine

Freedom School is an initiative to build an educational hub and safe haven for people affected by war.  Our current plan is to develop our program in central Ukraine. The purpose of this institution will be to provide a safe environment for children.  We provide goods and services, with an emphasis on language acquisition and communication. 

  • We provided food, clothes, books, and toys on the first
    "Children’s Day " at Hndechko Orphanage while it was housing the wave of orphans from Mariupol.
  • On subsequent visits, we introduced English speakers, supplied more books, art supplies, and special needs equipment as requested by Hndezchko Director Myhailo.
  • This past spring we began to organize formal English lessons. More educational materials and art supplies, along with a laptop computer and printer, were purchased in preparation for the coming school year.
  • We acquired two plots of land with access to the Southern Buh river.
